  • Les hospices de Beaune
    Les hospices de Beaune is a former charitable institution founded in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin, chancellor of Burgundy, as a hospital for the poor and needy in Beaune, France The original hospital building, the Hôtel-Dieu, one of the finest examples of French 15th century architecture, is now a museum.

    The Museum of Public Health in Paris looks at the changes and innovations, both technical and political, which have shaped public healthcare in France from the 7th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Artifacts, equipment, paintings, etchings, photographs, archives, pharmacy items, and furniture are used to tell the great history of public hospitals and the shifting attitude toward public health. A medicinal herb garden is located in the rear.

The Biomedical Collection holds over 40,000 high-quality images from the clniical and biomedical sciences. Selected from the UK's leading teaching hospitals and research institutions, it covers disease, surgery, general healthcare, sciences from genetics to neuroscienmce including the full range of imaging techniques.

    The Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology ranks among the world’s premier collections devoted to anesthesia history. Housed in the headquarters building of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the WLM also serves as an active, specialized medical library.
